For Rod Ruiz, lighting shapes how we feel in a space. “Light is not just something we see. It is something we feel.” This belief guides his work with At Five, where he curates lighting that transforms environments into something memorable.
Rod’s career has always been rooted in creativity. He began in fashion photography and creative direction for luxury publications, later moving into branding, marketing, and business development. These experiences sharpened his ability to tell stories through design and deepened his appreciation for craftsmanship. With At Five, he connects architects and designers with European lighting brands that merge heritage with modern design.
For Rod, lighting is a way to redefine how spaces are experienced. Whether it’s a home, an office, or something in between, the right light has the power to shift the mood, function, and energy of a space.
Matthieu Borione

Matthieu Borione

VP of Sales
Matthieu Borione brings over a decade of experience in lighting sales and more than 15 years in operations to his role as VP of Sales with At Five. He’s the one making sure the right lighting solutions reach the right people, working closely with architects, designers, and specifiers across North America.
Design runs in Matthieu’s blood. His mother, an interior designer who worked in both France and the United States, instilled in him an early appreciation for the power of design to shape spaces and experiences. Before joining At Five, Matthieu served as National Sales Director for a leading North American lighting distributor, where he managed everything from building relationships to overseeing complex projects. His multilingual, multicultural background gives him a unique ability to connect with people and navigate the nuances of the industry. At his core, Matthieu is about making things happen—efficiently, thoughtfully, and always with an eye for design.
Ximo Belda

Ximo Belda

Principal Software Engineer
Ximo Belda’s approach to technology is shaped by his artistic roots. Growing up in Valencia, Spain, as the son of a celebrated artist, he learned to see creativity as a way of solving problems, fostering innovation, and shaping meaningful, transformative experiences. That perspective continues to influence his work as Principal Software Engineer for At Five.
With over 20 years of experience, Ximo has developed web applications and internal tools for industries ranging from healthcare to e-commerce. With At Five, he focuses on creating digital solutions that are both intuitive and scalable. Based in the Mediterranean town of Jávea, he specializes in full-stack development using technologies like Vue.js, Cloud Functions, and RFID integrations.
Known as the "At Five Wizard," Ximo ensures the brand’s digital presence reflects the same level of craftsmanship, intention, and meticulous attention to detail as its thoughtful design philosophy.
